Five Tools Baseball Academy is pleased to announce our newest training affiliation with Total-Pro Baseball.
Coach Hernandez, the owner of Total-Pro Baseball, is a former college scholarship catcher/3B from Northeastern Illinois University. His college play and stellar tryout-camp evaluations earned him an invitation to the Kansas City Royals spring training camp as a non-roster free agent. Coach Hernandez went on to sign professional baseball contracts with various organizations including Montreal and Texas. His pro career was cut short due to injuries and his desire to spend more time with his family.Total-Pro Baseball offers complete and comprehensive baseball lessons specializing in hitting, catching, infield play and pitching.
Each player will be evaluated and a lesson plan will be developed. Every player is different and has strengths and weaknesses in their game. The strengths will become stronger and the weakness will be eliminated. Both physical and mental instruction will result in a complete and confident ballplayer.CATCHING Catchers will work on a variety of drills and techniques to enforce proper mechanics and form in Receiving, Blocking, Exchange for Throwing, Quick Release Throwing, Footwork, Framing Pitches, Leadership, Mental Aspect of Catching and Catching Fundamentals. HITTING Hitting lessons with Coach Hernandez are designed with one goal in mind- "The Individual Player". Players will train the essential mechanics to become a well balanced hitter: Seeing the Ball properly, Stance, Load, Stride and Swing/Bat Speed. Learn how to "Drive" the ball, not just "Hit" the ball. INFIELD Infield lessons will focus on balance, approach to the ball, quick hands and feet, developing strong accurate throws and situational play.
