Dick has an outstanding background in Fast-Pitch Softball, both as an instructor and a player. He is an Illinois High School Association certified coach and a founder of both the Frankfort Flames and the Illinois Angels travel organizations. In Fall 2007, he accepted the position of Varsity Head Coach at Peotone High School.
Dick has coached and instructed at various levels from tee-ball through 18U. His 2005 Illinois Angels 16U finished in 5th place at the ASA Northern National Tournament in Bloomington, Illinois.
Dick's instructional and coaching philosophy emphasizes teaching the fundamental principles of each skill, and reinforcing these skills through proper mechanics. He has developed his extensive knowledge by playing, coaching clinics, reviewing various expert techniques and studying the top college players and programs throughout the country.
His daughter recently graduated from DePaul University, where she was a standout player on their Women's Softball Team.
