Mad Dog bats are constructed from bamboo laminations that are bonded together using specialized high-strength adhesives and cured under thousands of pounds of pressure.
Mad Dog hybrid bats (model K-9) are fashioned from rock maple, except that the maple core is removed and replaced with bamboo. This process results in a bat that has the classic look of full-grain wood, but retains the toughness of bamboo.
Bamboo has a tensile strength greater than that of steel (28,000 PSI vs. 23,000 PSI), placing Mad Dogs among the toughest bats on the planet!
